Bluetooth communication is available for all types of electronic tools
Communication via Batch Capture – "Batch Capture"
This is a program delivered together with tools featuring Bluetooth communication. It enables two-way communication with the tool; the user can send data regarding torque values and the number of repetitions for each value, as well as receive information about the performed operations – status OK/NOK. The software allows for data collection and archiving from the process.
Communication Format Options
- Batch Capture – Software produced by BMS Ireland, supplied with every tool
- Communication protocol – allows integration with existing data collection systems
Communication Range
- Smooth data transmission up to approx. 12 meters from the Bluetooth Receiver (signal receiving base)
- Possibility of simultaneous communication between multiple tools and a single Bluetooth Receiver base
Working with the "Batch Capture" Software
- The controller can activate previously saved settings stored in the tool’s memory, or input new ones and send them to the tool
- Settings can be configured for torque value only, or for torque and angular displacement
- Settings are sent to the tool
- Settings can refer to a single measurement, repeated measurements (set number of times), or a measurement sequence
- The software enables real-time process control and remote supervision of the tool operator – e.g. a message on the tool’s display may inform the operator that the measurement needs to be repeated if it does not meet assigned specifications; however, such a measurement can also be approved by a supervisor or authorized person
- The software can send a request to repeat a measurement or block the next stage of the process
- Data can be archived in a specific format or printed
- Communication with existing data collection systems
Bluetooth-enabled tools can be integrated with the customer’s existing data collection systems. Measurement data – torque values, angular displacement, repetition count, etc. – can be automatically sent from the system to the tool without the need for additional configuration or operator settings. All data is also automatically transmitted from the tool to the archiving system.
